My Experience
For the past two summers, I have spent three months as a summer camp counselor for children aged 5-16 at an overnight camp. I took care of groups of 7-14 children aged 11-13. I am accustomed to facing children first with compassion and kindness, working with children to quickly find solutions to disagreements or personal problems, and I am calm yet responsive in challenging or unforeseen circumstances. This experience allowed me to have an energized and positive attitude even while I was tired or not motivated. I have been babysitting for the past six years, which has allowed me to build trusting relationships with the families I work for. Through this, I have had experience with bedtime, bringing children to after-school activities, and cooking.
My Qualifications
I have a Red Cross First-Aid certification and a lifeguard certification. 6 years of experience babysitting, 2 years of experience as an overnight summer camp counselor.
My Availability
I am very flexible and available most days, and especially free all day Friday through Monday!
