About Me
I am a caring and experienced individual with a strong passion for working with children. As a parent of five, including two younger children aged 8 and 12, I have a wealth of hands-on experience supporting children of different ages and needs.
I currently work full-time as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, where I support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing every day.
On the weekends i run a special needs football team for ages 5-12 mixed ability and needs. I set up this football team myself and the aim is to not only teach the children football skills but also life skills. All our children and either ADHD or Autism so i aim to give them the ability to make friendships and feel more confident But also give them opportunities every other child has.
I am now looking to offer childcare during school holidays, where I can provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children while giving parents peace of mind.
My Experience
I have always worked in primary schools and have a strong passion for supporting children in their learning and development. I currently work one-to-one with children who have special educational needs, as well as those who need extra help in the classroom.
My role includes planning personalised activities to suit each child’s needs and abilities, as well as providing emotional support to help them feel safe, understood, and confident.
Aswell as this, running my own SEN football team has gained me experience with a variety of different needs and behaviours.
Alongside my work experience, being a mum of five has given me a wide range of practical childcare experience and a deep understanding of children’s individual needs.
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked, i have safeguarding and first aid certification.
My Availability
I’m looking for work during the holidays.
