About Me
Hi I am Charlotte at Little Acorns Childminding in Fetcham. I am an Ofsted registered childminder and work alongside my mum (Jane) who is also an Ofsted registered Childminder. We work from Janes' home and were very lucky to have the ability to use the house and all the rooms but we also have a spacious playroom specifically designed to facilitate Childminding services. A reading corner, messy play and lots of toys to play with.
There is also a garden for outdoor play and veg patch which is beneficial for the little ones to see where food comes from and how they grow.
My aim is to provide a home from home environment where children feel safe and secure, are free to explore their interests, and have their developmental needs met with love and care.
I enjoy planning different activities for children, cooking, arts & crafts, trips and lots of playing.
Our main focus is to get the children outside everyday, whatever the weather and this includes visiting play groups, playgrounds and national trust parks. In the school holidays our day trips tend to be a bit further afield and can include trips to the beach and castles etc.
I will provide all snacks and Lunch for your child.
I have up to date DBS Checks and First Aid Certificate.
My Experience
- Large family with 2 step daughters and 12 nieces and nephews
- 2 consecutive years as a camp counsellor in America of children of all ages, doing all sorts of activities whether arts or crafts, cooking or water activities such as kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing.
- Work experience in a primary school
- Carer for 5+ years for the elderly and people with special needs such as Autism and Visually impaired.
My Qualifications
Completed the childminding UK course (Ofsted Recognised), which included the below units:
- Understanding and Working with the EYFS
- Recording Children's Development
- Safeguarding Children and Designated Lead
- Developing Children's Learning
- Leading and Managing a Childminding Setting
Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate
My Availability
Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.75 per hour
Day rate of £70 from 8am-4pm
This price includes all snacks, meals (except breakfast) and trips out.
Please note: Nappies, wipes, nappy creams, sun cream and formula are not included in this price.
