I’m well suited to working as a nanny because I’m patient, reliable and genuinely enjoy building relationships with children. I think carefully about safety, clear routines and age?appropriate activities, and I’m comfortable supporting both the practical side of the day and a child’s emotional needs. I communicate openly with parents and take feedback well, because I want us to work as a team around the child.
To build my experience, I have taken paediatric first?aid training, I'm willing to shadow more experienced nannies, and keep learning about child development for school?age children. I’m happy to start with baby-sitting, part?time or after?school roles, take on additional responsibilities gradually, and reflect after each day on what went well and what I can improve. I’m also open to relevant courses and workshops so I can keep growing professionally in childcare.
I’m genuinely looking for a career shift into childcare, not just a temporary role. I’ve tried other types of work and realised that I feel most myself when I’m supporting children day?to?day, helping them feel safe, understood and confident. That’s why I’m committing to building a long?term career as a nanny, with proper training, experience and ongoing learning.

nephews aged 6–12 years. Planned age?appropriate activities such
as crafts, baking, reading, and outdoor play.
Supported older children with homework, reading practice, and
after?school routines such as swim practise, library visits and sport.
Maintained a safe, tidy environment and followed parents rules on
screen time, food, and daily routines. Regularly baked and cooked
snack meals and early dinners. I wish to build on this experience as much as possible to stay in this field, and become someone families can rely on for the long term.
