I think carefully about safety, clear routines and age?appropriate activities, and I’m comfortable supporting both the practical side of the day and a child’s emotional needs. I communicate openly with parents and take feedback well, because I want us to work as a team around the child.
To build my experience, I have taken paediatric first?aid training, I'm willing to shadow more experienced nannies, and keep learning about child development for school?age children. I’m happy to start with baby-sitting, part?time or after?school roles, take on additional responsibilities gradually, and reflect after each day on what went well and what I can improve. I’m also open to relevant courses and workshops so I can keep growing professionally in childcare.
I’m genuinely looking for a career shift into childcare, not just a temporary role. Maintained a safe, tidy environment and followed parents rules on
screen time, food, and daily routines. Regularly baked and cooked
snack meals and early dinners. I wish to build on this experience as much as possible to stay in this field, and become someone families can rely on for the long term.
