Katy
Nanny in Chippenham (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am a caring, reliable, and experienced childcare practitioner with a strong background in nursery settings, including working as a room senior with babies, toddlers, and preschool children. I have a good understanding of the EYFS and supporting children’s development through play.
I hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification, an up-to-date first aid certificate, and an active DBS on the update service.
I am looking for a term-time, school-hours nanny role and understand how busy family life can be. Alongside providing high-quality childcare, I am happy to help with light household duties such as tidying, children’s laundry, and meal preparation to help make daily life easier.
I am patient, organised, and dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive, while also supporting families in the smooth running of their home.
My Experience
I have several years of experience working in nursery settings, where I have cared for children across all early years age groups, including babies, toddlers, and preschool children. I have taken on the role of room senior, giving me additional responsibility for planning activities, supporting staff, and ensuring high standards of care and learning are maintained.
Through my experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including observing, assessing, and supporting children’s individual development. I am confident in planning engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning through play.
I have experience working closely with parents, building positive relationships, and supporting children’s routines, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. I am also confident in managing daily routines such as mealtimes, naps, toileting, and transitions.
As a mother of three, I also bring personal experience, patience, and a nurturing approach to my work, alongside my professional childcare background.
Alongside my nursery experience, I am now looking to bring my skills into a nannying role where I can provide more personalised, one-to-one care and support within a family home.
