My Requirements

We are a friendly family in East Barnet, North London, looking for a reliable, warm and flexible part-time nanny to help us cover childcare on the days when both parents are working the same shift. Our daughter is 8 and our son is 6. We both work rotating shift patterns, so the days vary each week, but the hours needed will fall within the times below and we would know our shift patterns at least 1 month in advanced.

? What We Need

A nanny who can cover early mornings and/or late afternoons/evenings depending on our shifts:

Early Shift Cover:
Approx 05:30–07:50 (school drop-off - breakfast club)
Late Shift Cover:
Approx 18:00–23:30 (school pick-up + evening care)

? Hours & Flexibility
Around 8–12 days per month, depending on how our shift patterns overlap
Rota provided at least 4 weeks in advance
Extra hours available in school holidays and weekends if wanted, as we both work some weekends so it would be great to have someone available but not essential as my eldest can help out occasionally as she is now 18.

? Responsibilities
School drop-off or pick-up (local Barnet school)
Preparing breakfast on the early shift and a snack on the late shift (they would have had dinner at after school club)
Supporting homework / reading
Keeping children’s evening routine calm and consistent
Light tidying relating to the children

? We’re Looking For
Someone kind, patient and trustworthy
Experience with school-age children
Confident with early starts or later evenings
VERY Reliable with good communication
Ofsted registered is a bonus but not essential
Full driving license and own car essential
