About Us

At Finkley Nurseries, every day is thoughtfully planned to nurture children from 3 months to 5 years. Whether your child is just starting out in the baby room or preparing for school in our preschool spaces, we offer a calm, caring and enriching environment where they can thrive.

For our youngest children, we know how important it is to feel safe and secure. Our baby rooms are warm, welcoming and home-like, with dedicated spaces for sleep, sensory play and one-to-one care. Routines are shaped around each baby’s individual needs, whether that’s bottle feeds, baby-led weaning, naps, or cuddles. We work closely with you to follow your child’s home routine and support their early development with love, gentle interaction, and engaging experiences.

As children grow, they move into our combined toddler and preschool rooms, where mixed-age learning is a real strength. Older children develop confidence and empathy as they help the younger ones, while younger children gain motivation and language by watching and learning from their peers. We also provide age-appropriate group times and targeted activities, such as reading sessions based on ability, to make sure every child is supported at their own level.

From the moment they arrive, children are encouraged to take ownership of their day, choosing their peg, greeting friends and settling into their favourite areas of play with confidence.
