About Me
Hi, I’m Mary. I’m a mum of four based in Oldbury, currently looking for a caring and reliable childminder for my daughter Maeve, who was born on 03/01/2025. We’re looking for childcare Monday to Friday between 8am and 5:30pm (not including bank holidays). We’re a friendly, easy-going family with older children (teens and a 10-year-old), and I’m preparing to return to work soon. I’m keen to find someone trustworthy who will provide a safe, nurturing environment where Maeve can learn and develop.
My Requirements
I’m currently attending interviews and looking for work of up to 20 hours per week, so I don’t yet know my exact shift pattern. However, my hours will be between 8am and 5:30pm.
Maeve’s dad works regular hours of 8:30am–5pm, so we do have some structure around that.
I’m only looking for part-time childcare for Maeve, just for the hours when both myself and her dad are working (including travel time to and from work), so it wouldn’t be full-time care.
I’m looking for childcare Monday to Friday within those hours, with some flexibility if possible while I confirm my work schedule.
I’m also hoping to use the 30 hours funded childcare, ideally stretched across the year, as I wouldn’t be able to do term-time only.
Maeve is over 1 and is still breastfed, so I’m looking for someone understanding and supportive of that. She also has a strong attachment to me and her dad, so a gentle, patient approach to settling in will be really important to help her feel comfortable and secure.
Ideally, I would prefer for Maeve not to be taken on school runs, but I’m happy to discuss this.
