About Me
We are a friendly, busy and down-to-earth family based near Childrey, Wantage, looking for someone reliable and proactive to become part of our home.
We have two lovely, active children and a small group of much-loved ponies, so life here is a mix of childcare, outdoor time with ponies and general family life.
Our home is relaxed but organised, and we’re looking for someone who is happy to muck in, use their initiative and be a genuine extra pair of hands.
My Requirements
We are looking for part-time help approximately 3 days per week (flexible days and hours), with the option for additional hours during school holidays and occasional evening babysitting.
This is a hybrid role combining childcare with hands-on help with our ponies, so we are specifically looking for someone who is confident and experienced with horses, not just a nanny.
The role includes:
- Helping with before and after school care
- Occasional school runs (full driving licence required and ideally 5+ years driving experience)
- Supporting during school holidays
- Being an extra pair of hands at home
- Regular involvement with our ponies, including riding/leading/lunging, poo picking, tack cleaning and general yard duties
We are ideally looking for someone with childcare experience who is also genuinely horsey, practical, reliable and happy to muck in with a varied role.
Please note this role would not suit someone without prior experience.
