Selsabil
Nanny in London
My Summary
About Me
Caring for children is not simply my profession, it is my calling. From nursery settings to UHNW households, I have always
felt deeply aligned with nurturing young lives and creating beautiful, intentional upbringings grounded in love, security, and
inspiration. With extensive experience caring from newborns to 10, I bring a naturally creative, playful, and highly engaging
presence, fostering environments where children feel safe, valued, and gently guided toward confidence, independence, and
strong character.
My academic background in biology, psychology, and sociology profoundly shapes my childcare philosophy, with focused study
in child development, attachment, emotional regulation, resilience, family dynamics, and early identity formation. Alongside
qualifications in Montessori, EYFS, childcare, and a holistic approach to child safety, I believe in balancing gentle structure
with child led learning. My approach is deeply holistic, I carefully consider emotional well being, nutrition, sleep rhythms,
environment, and the small daily details that quietly support a child’s overall development, valuing calm spaces and natural
materials that nurture both body and mind.
Warm, energetic, and deeply dedicated, I enjoy the outdoors and encourage confidence through sports and active exploration.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and paediatric first aid , and I am fully first aid and CPR trained. A fluent British English
speaker and British passport holder, I offer full flexibility for international travel and have travelled extensively worldwide
with families, confidently supporting children abroad. I fully understand the trust placed in my role and have undertaken full
responsibility, including proxy parenting. Caring for children is both my privilege and lifelong purpose.
My Experience
After amicably concluding my 4 year role, I took a short period to travel and undertake 3 carefully selected temp
roles while thoughtfully seeking my next permanent placement. I am deeply committed to long term roles and
building meaningful, lasting relationships with the families I support, so this transition has been intentional rather
than rushed. During this time, I have also begun learning French to further develop myself. I am seeking a long
term position where I can offer dedication, and remain with a family for many years.
In Battersea, I provided care for 2 children aged 2 and 3.5, working 12 hour days for a family based between London
and Abu Dhabi. I managed all duties, planned enriching activities, organised fun outings across London, and
maintained structured daily routines. I demonstrated flexibility by regularly extending hours and providing 24 hour
care during travel, including a 4 day stay in Hampshire.
In Notting Hill, I cared for a 9 month old baby for a visiting family from LA, overseeing her full routine including
bottle feeds, naps, baby led weaning, and developmental play. I supported key milestones through sensory activities,
outings, and consistent communication with her parents, ensuring confidence and peace of mind.
In Knighstbridge, I provided care for an 18 month old, alongside supporting his 6 and 10 year old cousins. Working
12 hour days, I managed nutritious meal preparation, routines, educational play, outings, and overnight care. I also
undertook proxy parenting , ensuring stability and continuity in the parents absence.
Nanny / Governess , Private Family This position began through a professional recommendation and became a deeply valued four year placement with
a VIP family. I was entrusted with the care of three siblings, a three month old, a nearly three year old, and a five
year old, and remained a consistent and nurturing presence throughout their formative years.
The principals were exceptionally busy and maintained, quite rightly, extremely high standards for their children
and their nanny. I worked primarily in sole charge; shortly with a maternity nanny for a few months and often
proxy parenting and offering complete flexibility to accommodate their demanding and evolving schedules. Within

Holland Park
a fully staffed household, I collaborated professionally and respectfully with all team members, ensuring smooth
communication and a calm, organised environment.
I supported every aspect of the children’s daily lives, managing sleep, feeding, hygiene, nursery and school routines,
extracurricular activities, homework, and bedtime. As the children grew, I adapted my approach to meet their
changing developmental and emotional needs. I successfully potty trained both the middle and youngest children
using gentle, developmentally appropriate methods rooted in patience and reassurance.
I facilitated early literacy, numeracy, school readiness, and structured homework support while encouraging
curiosity, imagination, and creative play. Beyond academics, I focused on character development, nurturing
kindness, empathy, and open mindedness. With full parental consent, I introduced age appropriate conversations
about body autonomy and personal boundaries, informed by my holistic child safety training and qualification,
empowering the children from as young as two to understand consent in a safe and appropriate manner.
My approach to care was holistic and intentional. I supported not only academic and physical development but also
the children’s complete well being. Meals were freshly prepared using organic, nutrient rich ingredients, carefully
balanced and tailored to individual needs. I encouraged intuitive eating habits, avoiding restriction based approaches
to foster a healthy lifelong relationship with food. I paid close attention to the smallest details, including choosing
organic fabrics for clothing and undergarments and ensuring bedding was pure linen, valued for its breath ability,
temperature regulation, hypoallergenic qualities, and ability to promote deeper, restorative sleep.
I maintained a calm, beautifully organised environment and conducted prior screening of books, programmes, and
media to ensure age appropriateness. I encouraged creativity while protecting the children from unsuitable content.
The family travelled extensively for both business and leisure, and I accompanied them worldwide including
Europe, Egypt, Morocco, Thailand, Malaysia, and across the Middle East, particularly Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha,
Riyadh, and Jeddah. I developed strong cultural awareness and detailed knowledge of the UAE and Gulf region. I
travelled with private jets, first class flights, and yachts, maintaining discretion and composure at all times.
Travel preparation was meticulously planned. I packed thoughtfully according to climate, occasion, and itinerary,
ensuring every item was organised to make travelling seamless, maintain routines, and minimise disruption to
the children. Whether in London or abroad, I planned stimulating holiday itineraries that balanced education,
creativity, cultural exposure, and enjoyment.
Communication with the parents was clear, respectful, and consistent, in line with their preferences. I never
introduced new approaches without prior consultation and always honoured their values, wither religious culture
or personal preferences for their children. I also organised and managed the children’s birthday celebrations each
year, tailoring every detail to their individual personalities, from decorations and child friendly menus to creative
activities that made each event personal and memorable. Took care of wardrobe management and all child related
logistics from appointments, to purchasing gifts for friends birthday, to school projects and many more.
This role was profoundly formative. It strengthened my professionalism, deepened my understanding of high level
private household standards, and allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the children’s growth during their most
important early years. We went our separate ways solely due to the family’s relocation to Shanghai, and I continue
to maintain a warm and positive relationship with this extraordinary family.
