Ugrent Need Of Someone
About Me
We're looking for urgent support with our 4-year-old son during the summer holidays (10am–3pm, ideally from Monday 18th August) and then after-school care from September. He's high-functioning autistic, full of energy, and loves being outdoors or at soft play — he needs 1:1 active engagement and constant supervision as he has no sense of danger. We work for the council (both home and office-based) and don't have a vehicle, so we need someone flexible about activities and locations. We're happy to cover any additional costs required. Language skills are helpful but not essential. He's a lovely boy to be with; he just needs a carer who can keep up with him!
My Requirements
A typical day: morning shopping for fruits and snacks, then an hour at the park. Return home for lunch, and depending on weather and energy levels, he may have a nap. Afternoon follows the same routine — park time or soft play, snacks, and active engagement. He needs consistent routine and 1:1 support throughout. He is non-verbal and dysregulates with lots of changes, so predictability is essential. He has an EHCP and we're looking for providers who can support 1:1 learning and development alongside his care.
