About Me
We are a busy professional family based in Harrogate, looking for a reliable, warm and proactive part-time nanny to join us in a long-term partnership.
Our two children (aged 8 and 10) attend Oatlands Juniors. We need regular support across the week for both mornings and afternoons: Tuesday (AM & PM), Wednesday (AM & PM), and Thursday (AM) starting from September 2026.
As we both have demanding work schedules, having a dependable, stable routine is incredibly important to us. Our main priority is ensuring the children have nurturing, peaceful support to start their day positively and to completely decompress and unwind in their own home after school, rather than spending extended hours in wrap-around school clubs.
What we are looking for:
• A Calm, Grounded Presence: Someone who excels at providing a relaxed, reassuring environment—whether that's helping them have a smooth organised start to the morning or settling down happily after a busy school day.
• School Runs & Transport (Driver Essential): You must have your own car, license and insurance to manage the school drop-offs and pick-ups (we are close to the school and walking is possible in better weather).
• Our Dog, Charlie: We have a lovely Golden Retriever who goes to doggy daycare. Your hours will coincide with his collection and return, so it’s essential that you are comfortable and confident around dogs and happy to help with this crossover.
• Light Housework & Cooking: Helping to keep the afternoons running smoothly by preparing a simple, healthy evening meal and assisting with light houseware/tidying up to keep the family space organised.
• Homework Support: Being a gentle, encouraging guide with any school tasks.
We view this as an important key role in our family dynamic and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us over the long term. In return for the right fit, reliability and high-quality care, we are very happy to offer a higher, premium hourly rate.

My Requirements
Before school: 7:30am–9am including driving children to school, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. After school: 3:30pm–5:30/6:30pm including picking up from school, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Thursday mornings 7.30-10am.
Approx 10-12 hours per week. Term time only and/or school holiday hours support
to be discussed.
