My Summary
About Me
I will be running my childminding services (Forest Wonders Childminding) from my house in Upper Cwmbran. A home from home, calm, fun and stimulating environment. I have a rear enclosed garden, a front large open grass area and I am close to the local community farm. I will be offering a variety of activities such as messy play, imaginative play, sensory play, art/craft, cooking/baking and small world play plus much more.
I will take the children via the bus to the park, the boating lake, the canal, the community farm. Pets at home, Cwmbran library and to fruit and vegetables stalls in Cwmbran town to choose ingredients for cooking.
I will be fostering the hygge approach of a calm, cosy environment which allows for open ended play, invitations to play, child-centred in the moment planning and focussing on each child’s individual needs, promoting great wellbeing and improved development.
The children will have other experiences such as teddy bears picnic, scavenger hunt for flowers and materials to be used for craft and in the garden. Helping to prepare their own snack and many more.
My Experience
I have 11 years experience of working with children. I worked for Flying Start with children in playgroup for 6 years. I am currently the room leader of baby room. I started out covering all rooms babies, toddlers and preschool at the Nursery, I have been working there for 3.5 years. Between 2020-2022 I was a beautician who offered children’s pamper parties for children.
My Qualifications
Cache Level 3 Diploma in childcare and education. Paediatric first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding. Aces, grobrain, signalong.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
£55.25 set day fee for 8:00 am - 16:30 pm
(Minimum of 2 days required)
Unfortunately I do not offer half day sessions to limit disruptions to the day and to limit short visits when on outings such as spending the day at the community farm
Breakfast, morning snack and afternoon snack, cooking/baking activities are included in the fee.
Parents to provide a healthy packed lunch, wet wipes, nappies and nappy cream.
I will be open all year round. Except bank holidays and my own holidays
