About Me
I’m a university student studying English, and I really enjoy working with children both academically and through childcare. I offer a mix of tutoring and babysitting, so I can support children with their learning while also creating a relaxed, safe, and engaging environment. I tutor English and Maths up to GCSE level, including 11+ preparation, and I focus a lot on building confidence as well as improving results. I try to make things feel clear and manageable rather than overwhelming, adapting how I explain things depending on the child. Alongside tutoring, I offer flexible babysitting (daytime, evenings, weekends, and emergencies). I’m calm, reliable, and attentive, and I make an effort to get to know each child so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m also experienced with children who have additional needs, and I approach that with patience and understanding.
My Experience
I am currently a university student studying English, with a strong academic background in English, Maths, and essay-based subjects. I have experience supporting children with homework, exam preparation, and general academic development, particularly in English and Maths at primary and GCSE level, as well as 11+ preparation. I have prepared for and taken the 11+ myself, which has enabled me to attend 2 highly accredited grammar schools in London. In terms of childcare, I have experience caring for children of different ages, including managing routines, supervising play, and maintaining a safe and positive environment. I am reliable, organised, and attentive, and I understand the importance of clear communication with parents. I also have experience working with children with additional needs, which has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to respond to individual behaviours and requirements.

GCSEs from Wallington High School for Girls: English Lit/Lang, Maths, Geography, Food Technology, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
Tiffin School: English Literature, Politics & Government, and Biology.
University of Southampton: English BA (currently enrolled)
My Availability
I am currently an enrolled student at University, so I am available most early mornings and afternoons for school drop-offs and pick-ups. I may be able to do full-day care, which is subject to my school term scheduling. In regard to tutoring, I am available anytime on weekends and after school on weekdays.
