About Me
We are a warm and friendly family of four with a lovely mix of Italian and English culture. We are both doctors and lead busy but caring family lives. We also have a small, affectionate kitten who is very much part of the family.
Our family includes two children: our eldest is a cheerful and curious 9-year-old boy, and our youngest is a little girl who will soon be turning one. She is at a wonderful stage of discovery and will be the main focus of care.
We are looking for a kind, reliable, and nurturing nanny to support us, particularly with our youngest child as she reaches her first year. We value someone who is caring, patient, and enjoys creating a safe, engaging, and happy environment for children to grow and thrive.
My Requirements
We are a family based in Risinghurst, Oxford looking for a caring and reliable nanny for our daughter starting from August 2026.
Our little girl will be 12 months old in August. We are ideally looking for childcare 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday). However, for the first month (August), we would be happy with 3 days per week, increasing to 4 days from September onwards. We can still remain flexible depending on the child’s needs.
We are looking for someone available for long days, approximately from 7:00/7:30 in the morning until around 6:30/7:00 in the evening (exact hours to be confirmed).
This position may initially be temporary, as we are also on nursery waiting lists. However, we would love to find someone who can provide a warm, stable, and engaging environment for our daughter during this transition.
Salary: depending on experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience with babies/toddlers (around 1 year old)
- Is caring, attentive, and proactive
- Can plan age-appropriate activities (play, reading, outdoor time)
- Is comfortable preparing simple meals for the child
Essential:
- DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
- Paediatric first aid training
- Right to work in the UK
- References from previous childcare roles
Desirable:
- Ofsted registration (or willingness to register)
