Anisha
Babysitter in London
My Summary
About Me
I spent my childhood days in the city of Bengaluru, India, being part of a very tight-knit family, where elder siblings and neighbours' children were looked after was just a normal day, part of the routine. Since very early days, I have been naturally attracted to children - I was the one who planned the games, taught little songs on my violin, or simply was the one whom kids felt safe with. In 2025, I came to London to get my Master's degree in Law at Queen Mary University, and it was a great new experience altogether. However, besides my academic work, I have missed the aspect of children and families a lot - it is something that really delights me. Aside from the books, I am a committed athlete (football, badminton, and kabaddi are my favourites!) and an accomplished violinist, so I rarely come up short when thinking of ways to get children moving, being creative, and having fun. One day, I would love to work as a lawyer but currently, I want to use my time in London most effectively by doing something that really matters - so being a child's positive and trustworthy support seems to me just right.
My Experience
As the eldest child in a very close family, we moved all over India; that is why I took on the role of caring for my younger brother quite early without even thinking about it. Besides, taking care of younger cousins and kids from the neighbourhood was something that happened every day and hence, I ended up being the person to whom kids were drawn and felt safe with. I actually have very thorough first-hand knowledge of children who are 311 years old. Apart from helping with homework and reading practice, I've also done various creative activities like drawing, storytelling and music. I am a violinist certified by ABRSM and have made music accessible to the youngest children in a fun and easy way. Besides, I am quite a sportswoman (football badminton, kabaddi), and I really enjoy sports as a means to nurture confidence and teamwork in children. Besides these, I have done voluntary work at youth cultural events and at a children's dance class, where I learned how to handle groups, recognize signs of a child in trouble and above all, to exclude no one. I am patient, remain calm even during a crisis, and have a sincere fondness for children. It has never been a job for me; it is just who I am.
I'm currently based in London completing my Master's degree at Queen Mary University, and I'm looking for a regular after-school role where I can be a dependable, warm presence in a child's life. I'm multilingual (English, Hindi, Kannada) and comfortable supporting families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
My Qualifications
Despite being unqualified in childcare in a technical sense, I have, in a very real way, through numerous instances of looking after children, amassed a very solid, hands-on level of experience with childcare. In terms of formal education, I obtained a five-year integrated law degree at St. Joseph's College of Law, Bengaluru, and am in the process of finishing an LLM at Queen Mary University of London. This is indicative of not only a high level of discipline and responsibility, but also commitment on my part. Besides that, I am an ABRSM-certified violinist, and I regularly employ this feature to entice children to indulge in musical and other related creative forms of activities.
My Availability
I can work Monday-Sunday from 3 pm to 7 pm and start immediately. I am searching for a consistent, term-time arrangement and I am willing to talk about the hours that suit your family best within that time frame. Being a postgraduate student, I spend my mornings at the university so that my afternoons and evenings can be entirely dedicated to caring for the children. Also, I am available to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week) and very flexible with hours, which makes me an excellent choice for families who require more extensive cover during the holidays.
