About Me

English teacher for 10+ years with an MA and currently on the NPQ SENCO course and GCSE examiner for 5years.

My Experience

I have worked as an English teacher for 11-18yr olds for over 10 years. During this time I have had notable successes with both high achieving students and students who struggled to engage with the curriculum and needed one-to-one tutoring to help gain confidence ahead of the exams. I have worked with students who have complex needs and also students who have gone from grade 6/7 to grade 9. I have previously tutored but stopped when I had my own children and now they are at pre-school I am looking to start again.

My Qualifications

I have a BA Hons in English Literature and History, PCGE + QTS, MA in Education and currently studying for my SENCo qualification. I have also been a GCSE examiner for AQA multiple times.
