About Me
We are a calm, structured household with two neurodivergent children. One of our children has additional needs, so routine, consistency and a regulated approach are very important in our home.
Our environment is set up to support her needs, and we are looking for someone who respects structure and can remain calm, patient and steady.
We are not looking for traditional childcare, but for someone who understands or has experience with SEN and can work in a thoughtful, responsive way.
My Requirements
We are looking for a DP carer to supplement with additional private hours.
Someone with SEN experience (e.g. teaching assistant, SEN school, or similar).
This role will begin with a few daytime sessions for familiarity and training, as a parent will be present.
The goal is to build towards:
• evening care
• occasional overnight care
Our child benefits from:
• consistency
• low-pressure interaction
• someone calm and not easily overwhelmed
This role would suit someone who already works in SEN (e.g. TA or support worker) and is looking for additional evening work.
Pay will reflect experience, particularly for SEN backgrounds.
