My Requirements

Temporary Travel Nanny – South Wales based Family (23rd April – 3rd May or part of) travelling to Spain

We are a fun, relaxed but safety-conscious family based in South Wales looking for a temporary travel nanny to join us on a special family holiday to Spain. Our son now attends nursery, therefore we no longer employ a full-time Nanny.

Dates: 23rd April – 3rd May - in Spain
All travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, and salary covered

About Us

We are a fun, friendly, and hands-on couple with a wonderful 3-year-old son who is full of energy, curiosity, and personality. He’s a happy, confident little boy who loves to explore the world around him.

He sleeps well (around 12 hours a night), is fully potty trained, and has no allergies or health conditions.

About Our Son

Our little boy loves:
• Singing and dancing
• Arts & crafts
• Exploring plants and wildlife
• Swimming and playing in water
• Building with Lego, blocks, stones etc
• Playing in the sand and sea
• Animals, machinery, vehicles
• Reading and being read to

He also enjoys a small amount of screen time with shows like Bluey, Tractor Ted, and more recently Toy Story and Frozen!

The Role

We’re staying in a beautiful luxury villa with:
• Direct access to a beach (not very sandy, but perfect for exploring and seaside walks)
• A large, deep swimming pool
• A smaller pool suitable for children
• Spacious gardens and a tennis court

We’re also just a short drive from stunning sandy beaches, where our son loves spending hours playing in the sand and sea.

The villa has a groundsman on-site and a cleaner who visits every other day, so there are no housekeeping expectations, other than toys and helping unloading/ loading the dishwasher please.

There are 2 pools, one very deep so being able to swim is essential. There is a tennis court and very large lawned area so lots of room for outdoor Play.

We also expect to have a cook for some evenings, but we’re equally happy ordering takeaway, going out for an early dinner, or cooking ourselves—there are no expectations around food preparation. That said, if you have a favourite dish you enjoy cooking, you’d be very welcome to share it one lunch or evening!

Responsibilities
• Caring for, engaging, and entertaining our son
• Planning fun games and activities and tidying them away afterwards
• Being proactive, playful, and imaginative
• Providing an extra set of eyes at all times, especially around water
• Joining us on outings and family activities

This is a shared-care role — we will be present and involved the whole time.

We don’t plan to leave our son for extended periods. Occasionally we may step out briefly, but most of the time we’ll be together as a family.

Accommodation

You will have your own private bedroom on the top floor with:
• Your own bathroom
• A small balcony overlooking the sea

Our son will sleep with us or in a nearby room on our floor, so no night-time duties are required.

Ideal Candidate
• UK-based (so we can meet beforehand)
• Warm, energetic, imaginative and engaging
• Confident around water and safety-aware
• Creative and interactive with children
• Experienced nanny or strong childcare background

You must be a non smoker as my son & I have a very strong sense of smell.

Our son has benefited from both professionally trained nannies and those qualified through experience, and we value both.

Requirements:
• References
• Up-to-date DBS check
• Paediatric first aid


Additional Info
• Competitive pay, you will be self-employed and responsible for your own tax and national insurance
• Ideally suited to a self-employed nanny (due to short-term nature)
• Some time off during the trip to relax and enjoy the location

You must be able to work in the UK as well as travel to Spain. If you are unable to do the full duration, we will consider the option of only joining us for part of the time period.

Final Note

We’re looking for someone who will feel like part of the family—fun, playful, attentive, and caring—who can help us create a safe and memorable holiday for our son.
