My Experience

I have completed a Health and social care level 3 extended diploma. The diploma required me to complete 200 hours of placement in a health and social care setting. I completed 200 of these hours throughout two years in a primary school. I worked with children in year 1 (5-6 years old) and year 2 (6-7 years old).

Additionally, before university I worked in a children’s centre for 6 months. This was a temporary position which involved supervising and caring for children under the age of 5.

I have completed a BSc in speech and language therapy and I am a qualified speech and language therapist. I worked for 1 year as a speech and language therapist with primary school aged children in mainstream schools across Haringey. I have now decided to take a year out from work to complete my masters and I am looking for a fulfilling part time role to fit around my studies.
