Hello! My name is Audrey — I’m living in Edinburgh (originally from America) as a postgraduate student, in school for Social Work and Art Therapy. I’m currently on placement with Edinburgh Council’s Refugee and Migration Team, which will be finished up in June (from then on I will be available flexibly for full time work, and am available part-time in the meantime).
I love the human services, and intend to come from a holistic, gentle and empathic approach within my work with people. In my free time, I’m a musician and photographer, and dearly love to travel.
I also adore animals, and am more than happy to help with care for a variety of pets as well!
My Experience
I have been babysitting since I was a young teenager, and grew up as the eldest of four siblings, so I am no stranger to childcare. Since receiving my undergraduate degree in Expressive Arts Therapy, I have worked with a variety of special needs and learning disabilities with adults, work that I very much enjoyed and that has left me with years of experience within special needs care. I have additional experience as a live-in Au Pair, caring and providing English language immersion for three young French-speaking children (ages 4, 7 and 11) in London. I would be very open to working with infants and newborns as well, and could be a friendly helping hand to new mothers.
My Qualifications
I am registered and cleared with the Scottish Social Services Council, with PVG qualifications.
My Availability
Weekends and evenings/nights until June 2026. Into July, I am available for both part time and full time care.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
