About Me

Beverley Brook Childcare is an outdoor provision based on Putney Common, offering children a unique early years experience centred around nature, exploration, and play. Situated in an exceptional location with direct access to Beverley Brook, Barnes Pond, and the expansive green spaces of Barnes and Putney Commons, the natural world serves as our primary learning environment.

Our ethos is rooted in outdoor education and child-led learning. We believe children thrive when given the time, space, and freedom to explore at their own pace, developing confidence, resilience, curiosity, and a lifelong connection with nature. Each day is shaped by hands-on experiences outdoors, from discovering wildlife and seasonal changes to imaginative play, risk-taking, problem-solving, and adventure.

Our thoughtfully designed nursery space provides a warm and nurturing base where children can rest, create, and gather, while spending the majority of their day immersed in the outdoors. We embrace a slower pace of childhood, valuing meaningful experiences, strong relationships, and the wellbeing of every child.

Having worked closely together for the past three years, Mimi and I are dedicated to providing consistent, attentive care and building trusting partnerships with families. We create a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where children feel secure, valued, and inspired to learn through play in nature.
