Nanny in Wellington
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m a warm, caring, and reliable nanny with a genuine passion for supporting children and their development.
I live with my partner, our 9-month-old baby boy, and our pets—a friendly cockapoo and two rabbits—so I understand family life and the importance of creating a safe, loving, and structured environment for children. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks, exploring new places, and visiting the beach.
I am patient, nurturing, and attentive, and I take pride in building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents. I enjoy creating fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development, while always ensuring they feel safe, happy, and valued.
I am reliable, organised, and I always work closely with families to meet their individual needs and routines. I am committed to providing high-quality care and supporting children to thrive in a positive and encouraging environment.
My Experience
I have 17 years of experience working in childcare across a range of settings, supporting children of all ages and abilities.
I spent 8 years working in nursery settings, caring for children aged 6 months to 4 years, where I supported early development, learning through play, and daily routines. I then worked for 4 years in a residential home for children with disabilities aged 8 to 18, gaining valuable experience supporting complex needs and promoting independence.
For the past 5 years, I have worked on a 1:1 basis supporting a young girl with disabilities and complex medical needs within her home, providing personalised care, emotional support, and working closely with her family and professionals.
My experience has given me strong skills in providing compassionate, individualised care, managing routines, and supporting children with a wide range of needs to reach their full potential.
My Qualifications
I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce. I also have an enhanced DBS and training in SEND, learning disability awareness, manual handling, equality and diversity, child protection, safeguarding, duty of care, epilepsy, and emergency first aid (which will be renewed before starting a new position).
