About Me

Hi, I’m the childminder behind Nano’s Childminding.

I’m an Early Years Teacher with EYTS, offering term-time-only childcare from my home in Bury St Edmunds.

I wanted to create a small, calm and welcoming home-from-home environment where I can really get to know each child and follow their individual interests and needs.

I take inspiration from Montessori, with lots of opportunities for children to play, explore and become independent. We’ll enjoy play at home, the garden, stories, creative activities and trips out to local parks, libraries and woodland.

As a mum myself, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable and confident about who is caring for your child. I’m always happy to have a chat and answer any questions. ??

My Experience

I have Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) and have worked in nursery settings, supporting young children with their learning, development and everyday routines.

I’m also a mum, so I have plenty of hands-on experience of caring for a young child and understanding the different stages of early development.

My Qualifications

I have Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) and have worked in early years and nursery settings.

I’m Ofsted registered and also have Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training. I’m the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for my setting.

I keep my knowledge and training up to date so I can provide safe, caring and good-quality care for the children I look after.

My Availability

I’m a calm, patient and caring person, and I really enjoy being around young children. I’m good at getting to know each child and understanding their different personalities, needs and interests.

I’m organised and responsible, but I also like to keep things relaxed and fun. I enjoy playing with children, getting creative and finding simple ways to support their learning and independence.

I’m also happy to listen to parents and work together to make sure their child feels comfortable, happy and settled.
