About Me

I love my job as a teaching assistant in reception! I have a real passion for children’s learning and development but also love building strong relationships with the children. I feel very privileged to look after other people’s children and adore children of all ages. I would love to help out a mum/family in caring for their children outside of my job. I finish work at 3 so would be available after this time, and if needed in the holidays too!

My Experience

I hold a full level 3 qualification in childcare. I started off my career as the room leader in the preschool room of an ‘outstanding’ nursery but also have experience in the baby and toddler room as well as leading the after school club. I now work in a primary school as a teaching assistant in reception, having worked in year 1 for a few years. I have experienced working in all of the year groups, ran the afterschool club and still currently run the breakfast club which children from reception to year 6 attend.

My Qualifications

Level 3 in childcare.
Paediatric first aid.
Trauma informed practice.
Over 50 CPD courses relating to autism, safeguarding, difficult behaviours, children’s mental health, learning disabilities etc.
