About Me
We’re a friendly, easy?going family based in Bromley. My husband and I both work full time and are professional, but we also really value a relaxed, happy home atmosphere.
We have an 8?year?old daughter who is bright, energetic, and full of personality. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she’s very chatty and has a lovely sense of humour. She enjoys being creative and loves exploring her different interests.
We also share our home with a cat called Oscar and a fish called Jesus, so animal lovers are very welcome! Our home is warm, family?focused, and welcoming, and we’re hoping to find someone who would feel comfortable and happy becoming part of our day?to?day family life.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a kind, caring person to spend time with our lovely 8?year?old daughter, who has SEN, including Autism and ADHD. This is an after?school role involving picking her up from) school(and ideally picking her up from school, but we might be flexible in this regard), and preparing a light snack, enjoying relaxed, fun time together at home or out and about.
Our daughter does best with someone who is calm, patient, and naturally warm, and who enjoys joining in with play, creativity, and conversation at her pace. We’re really hoping to find someone who feels more like a “play sister” than just a carer, someone she can build a genuine connection with, laugh with, and feel comfortable around. From time to time, we’d also appreciate support taking her to local activities like swimming or art classes.
We would love to find someone with experience working with SEN children, particularly Autism and ADHD, or with relevant training who feels confident and happy supporting a neurodivergent child. That said, a caring nature, positive energy, and a genuine interest in building a trusting relationship with our daughter are just as important to us as formal experience.
Ideally, the role would be for around 3 to 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday, but we’re very flexible and open to part?time availability or specific days if it’s the right fit. More than anything, we’re hoping to find someone who will truly enjoy spending time with our daughter and become a friendly, trusted presence in her everyday life.
