My Experience

My previous role was as a nanny to two boys, B3 and B4. I was sole charge with school and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups, all meals and food prep, laundry, keeping the boys' rooms tidy and clean, after-school and holiday activities, as well as the boys' supplements and medicine routines. I drove a cargo bike with both boys and their dog and am very confident in London traffic. I am incredibly flexible and think fast on my feet. I’m an excellent communicator with parents, teachers and especially with the children. I’m able to switch up how I communicate so that people understand in the best way possible. I’m very organised, managing multiple schedules. I pride myself on my creativity. I hand-made activity books for when they went on holidays, so that they were entertained on the planes as well as during their time away. These books had challenges, colouring in, whiteboards for games and drawing, as well as specific worksheets for their education level, such as practising letter formations and reading. I also came up with amazing holiday plans. One really fun plan was ‘Around the World week’, where we tried different foods, learnt words and phrases, and did many more activities related to the different countries they chose. I made sure a lot of our time was spent outdoors exploring or with friends.

I was the Operations Manager at Building Education, a STEM and Lego camp company. My role spanned all areas of the business, especially designing and adapting engaging, age-appropriate activities that supported learning and fun. I have a lot of amazing and creative challenges, activities and games I can bring to any nannying role.

I also have previous experience as a teacher's assistant. I have worked closely with children with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, Global Development Syndrome, Dyslexia and many other additional needs. I am excellent at adapting my approaches to meet children's unique learning and communication needs. I worked 1-2-1 a B6 with ASD and Gestalt Processing. In this role, I implemented processes and strategies to support him in his learning and communication goals. I worked closely with his teachers, parents and specialists to create tailored plans.

I have a lot of experience in working with children with ranges of needs and abilities. Whether it's swim teaching, social work, teacher aiding or nannying, I’ve learnt how to connect, think on my feet and communicate with impact and creativity.
