About Me
As previously being a career driven woman and successfully bringing up two (now grown up) children I understand the emotional and physical strain that trying to do it all can have. I’ve now reached a stage in my life where I would like to give something back and do something I find rewarding. I adore children, animals, cleaning and all things motherly. Having worked in education for a number of years I have many transferable skills which would help provide a thriving environment for children. Throughout my life, children have been drawn to me and I get no greater feeling when I believe I make a difference to our future generations. I am well presented, organised, educated, hard working, reliable, caring, trustworthy and am great at reading situations and communicating to both adults and children.
My Experience
I have spent many years working in educational settings, both primary and secondary. Originally starting my career as a Teaching Assistant, progressing to a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, then a medical welfare and safeguarding officer, followed by attendance lead, heading up the behaviour team and finally being a senior leader in strategic planning. These varied roles have developed me into a person who understands children and their needs. My transferable skills (organisation, prioritisation, remaining calm under pressure and seeing situations through the eyes of children) along with my motherly instinct and love for children is certainly something I would like to embrace in this next chapter of my life.
