Izzy
Babysitter in Beaconsfield
My Summary
About Me
Hi there! I’m a Year 13 student currently studying History, English, and Biology at A-Level at a local grammar school in Beaconsfield, where I am predicted A*,A*,A. I will be taking a gap year before studying History at university so know that I am available around long term! Having grown up with nannies myself, I understand just how important kindness, patience and fun are when caring for kids. I may not be quite what you are looking for (full-time nannying), but I can help short-term/ad hoc babysitting and house help in the school mornings/after school and evenings. I love looking after kids and find tidying/cleaning/cooking satisfying!
My Experience
I have a range of experience working with children of different ages/needs. I have volunteered at Riding for the Disabled South Bucks, where I supported disabled children and their families, helping them to safely enjoy horse riding. I am not unused to manual work, after cleaning up horse stables, housework is a piece of cake! I have also volunteered with Davenies School Cub Scouts as part of my Duke of Edinburgh Award, where I helped run activities and engage children in both educational and enjoyable sessions. I hold a Level 2 & 3 Sports Leaders qualification completed through my school, for which I planned and led engaging, purpose-driven sporting activities for children, helping them to enjoy sports while developing motor skills and coordination.
I have endless energy and enjoy creative activities such as arts, crafts, and imaginative play! I have also volunteered at the Roald Dalh Museum, helping children to engage with and interact with the stories and their history. Reading has been a huge part of my childhood (and still is), and I would love to help foster the same enjoyment in your child.
I have completed the Department of Education's Early years child development training in: brain development and how children learn; understanding child development and EYFS; supporting children's personal; social and emotional development; mathematics for children; supporting individual differences and needs; Supporting physical development in the early years; supporting language development in the early years; and effective curriculum. My certification can be sent to you upon request!
I also hold a Red Cross First Aid certificate, having experience helping run our schools Red Cross Club.
