My Summary
About Me
I am Chilminder, and I work as a part of the WildGarden team – a small, highly qualified group made up of myself and three trusted assistants, working together to create a caring, nature-connected home environment for children.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Sociology and a Level 2 Childcare qualification, along with training in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Children, Challenging Behaviour (Level 2), and WellComm (supporting early speech and language development in children aged 6 months to 6 years). My assistants are qualified at Level 2 and Level 3 in Childcare and bring warmth, creativity, and professionalism to our setting.
We care for children from the early years group as well as school-aged children, offering a wraparound programme before and after school.
Our Schools:
Good Shepherd Primary School
Little Heath Primary School
Courthouse Green Primary School
Our programme includes a range of hands-on, creative, and nature-based activities. We offer:
Clay workshops and art sessions that support sensory exploration and creative expression
Nature care and plant learning, where children get involved in watering, planting, and caring for our garden
Opportunities for free play, storytelling, and seasonal crafts, inspired by the rhythms of the year
For us, WildGarden is more than just a name - it’s a way of being. A mindset, a rhythm, a feeling. Wild Garden lives in the mind, the body, and the heart.
My Experience
I have been working with children for over 13 years as a childminder. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of supporting many children as they grow, learn, and discover the world. I create a calm, caring environment where children feel safe, seen, and free to be themselves, while gently encouraging their confidence, creativity, and independence.
