About Me
Hi, I am Rebecca! I AM HAPPY TO BE A NANNY ANYWHERE IN ENGLAND! I love working with children and in my spare time I enjoy walks in nature, baking, park runs and spending time with family.
I am a caring and nurturing person who is also very patient, kind and friendly and easy to talk to. I am very dedicated to childcare, and I am hoping to use my caring nature and skills to become a nanny who will work hard and always perform to the best of my ability, prioritizing children and their families. I would also describe myself as organized, punctual, and diligent, which I show through my hard work and good listening. I love helping others and love being a key part in babies and young children’s lives as they grow and develop.
My Experience
I have worked at Busy Bees nursery since 2024, I did a full-time apprenticeship gaining my level 2 childcare qualification where I worked in all the rooms in the nursery, babies, toddlers, and preschool, gaining experience with all age ranges, learning how to care for them and help them learn and grow.
From October 2023-April 2024, I worked at a preschool. I did my childcare at college placement here, two days a week with 6 full weeks gaining experience in a preschool with children aged 2-5, learning how to care for them and help them develop.
I have experience babysitting, specifically children 3-7 years
old, where I support the children in their daily routines such as their bedtime routines- helping the children wind down then putting them to bed and reading stories. I also support children with their physical care routines such as brushing their teeth to encourage these good habits early on. I also do daytime babysitting too where I enjoy playing with the children and doing fun activities with them.
In summer 2023 I also volunteered at a reception class in a school for 6 full weeks,
gaining experience with children in the early years aged 4-5, learning about the ways they learn especially through play and different learning activities I can do to support children this age.
From 2020-2023, I did child development at school as a GCSE, starting at just 13 which was the start of my childcare career, gaining a Level 2 merit. During this I enjoyed learning about the different milestones of children and I had some practical experience too when I had to observe a 3 year old child and then plan and carry out activities for them which will support their learning through play.
