About Me
Hello, my name is Claire and I am a newly registering childminder based in Hethersett, Norfolk.
I am currently in the process of completing my Ofsted registration and will soon be offering a warm, home-from-home childcare setting where children feel safe, valued, and supported to learn through play.
My setting will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a strong focus on child-led learning, outdoor exploration, and nurturing each child’s individual interests and development. I believe children learn best when they feel happy and secure, and I aim to create a calm, welcoming environment where they can thrive.
We will enjoy a variety of activities including:

• Story time, music and songs
• Imaginative and creative play
I am passionate about creating meaningful experiences and supporting children across all areas of learning, including communication, physical development, and social skills.
I am committed to keeping children safe and will follow all safeguarding procedures, working closely with parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child in my care.

My Experience
Although I am newly registering as a childminder, I bring a wealth of hands-on experience caring for children in a home environment.
As a parent myself, I have daily experience supporting children’s routines, development, and wellbeing, including feeding, sleep routines, play-based learning, and managing different stages of early childhood.
I have completed childcare training in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and have a strong understanding of how children learn and develop through play. I plan activities that support all seven areas of learning, ensuring children are engaged, stimulated, and progressing at their own pace.
I have also completed safeguarding training and understand the importance of keeping children safe, recognising concerns, and following correct procedures. I am confident in creating a secure and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable and cared for.
My approach is calm, patient, and child-focused. I take time to build strong relationships with both children and parents, ensuring open communication and consistency of care.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and continuously improving my knowledge and skills to provide the highest standard of childcare.
My Qualifications
I am currently in the process of registering as an Ofsted childminder and have completed the required childcare training to support my role.
My qualifications and training include:
• Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training
• Safeguarding and child protection training
• Paediatric First Aid training (completed / booked)
• DBS check (completed / in progress)
I have a strong understanding of child development and how children learn through play, and I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
I am also dedicated to ongoing professional development and will continue to update my training to ensure I provide the highest standard of care.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
My fees reflect the high-quality, home-from-home care I provide:
• Under 3s: £8.00 per hour
• 3–5 years: £6.50 per hour
I offer funded places (15 & 30 hours) alongside private childcare, with flexible options to suit families.
