I'm Jeremy Oga, a part-time uni student living here in Chelmsford. I’m currently looking for some local babysitting work to fit around my degree. I’ve always been pretty good with kids. I’m patient, high-energy, and I actually enjoy getting stuck into games or helping out with homework rather than just sitting them in front of the TV. Since I don't drive and rely on the buses and trains, I've got the local routes down and I make a point of always being on time. I’m a very reliable, chill person, and I’m happy to help out with a bit of tidying or meal prep while I'm there. Once the kids are asleep, I’m usually just catching up on my uni reading, so I’m always around if they need anything. I’m mostly looking for evening or weekend shifts, but I can be flexible happy to chat and provide references if you'd like to get to know me first
My Experience
I have several years of experience babysitting for neighbours and family friends, which has taught me how to adapt quickly to different household routines. Most of my experience involves looking after children between the ages of 5 and 11, where I’ve been trusted to manage everything from school pickups and meal prep to supervising bath and bedtime. Because I’ve worked for people outside my immediate family, I’m used to being professional, following specific instructions from parents, and making sure the house is kept tidy. I’m also experienced in helping kids stay on track with their homework and keeping them entertained with activities that don't just involve a screen. I take the responsibility of being in someone else's home seriously.
My Qualifications
I’ve completed several online certifications, including Safeguarding Children (Level 1) through the Essex Safeguarding Children Board and basic Paediatric First Aid training.

An hourly rate of 14 to 16 pounds per hour
