Welcome to Pippa’s Childcare!
Hi everyone, my name is Gemma and I’m so excited to be launching my new childminding business, Pippa’s Childcare, opening this September in Rainham, Kent.
I will be offering a warm, safe and nurturing home-from-home environment for little ones. I have spaces available for 3 children aged 2 to 5, where they can learn, play and grow.
I will also have flexible spaces available for children aged 5–8 during half terms.

My Experience
I am a 35-year-old childcare professional with 6 years of hands-on experience supporting young children in early years settings. I began my career as a childminder’s assistant, where I spent 2 years developing strong foundations in providing safe, nurturing care in a home-based environment.
Following this, I worked for 4 years as a Reception Teaching Assistant within an EYFS setting at an outstanding Ofsted-rated primary school. In this role, I supported the daily running of the classroom, delivered maths and phonics sessions, and planned engaging activities to promote learning through play. I have experience working with both large and small groups, as well as providing 1:1 support for children with SEN.
My experience also includes attending forest school sessions, helping to run stay-and-play groups, supporting school trips, and taking part in events such as Christmas nativities. I am confident in setting up stimulating environments for effective play and ensuring each child’s individual needs are met in a caring and structured way.
I am passionate about creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
