My Summary

My Experience

I have been an online maths tutor for over a year, I have tutored students in various different school levels from year 3 to year 12. I conduct weekly one hour sessions where the focus is always building a student's mathematical intuition and problem solving skills within the context of the topics they needed support at school. I have also had classroom experience as a ESL teacher with 1:2:1 and small classrooms, with an age range from 4 to 30+, acting as a supply teacher, invigilator and teaching assistant. Also, I have experience with special needs care, I worked as a PAT for a 21 yo girl in the autism spectrum, working with her primary carers to develop her interpersonal skills with specific goals set by her and her carers, and most recently I have been a nanny to a 4 yo boy in the spectrum, caring for him during school hours both in and out of the home, adapting and carrying out activities which stimulated him while still being appropriate for his individual needs.

My Qualifications

I hold A-levels for Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Biology. I am currently a second year mathematics student at the university of Southampton and have been awarded the Dean's list award for outstanding academic performance on my first year. Additionally I hold a DBS certificate.

My Availability

I am primarily looking for roles during the summer holidays, from late June to early September in the Bristol area. During these months I have full availability for both in person and online sessions. If you'd still like to continue having sessions after the holidays end, I'd be happy to provide a more detailed time availability for online sessions.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £18.00 per hour

I have an hourly rate of £15-20 depending on the type of session and year. Starting at £15 for younger years and increasing as the years progresses. I would not supply basic material such as paper or writing equipment, however if I have a specific plan for a lesson which requires special material I would make arrangements for that.
