About Me
Hi, I’m Kelly, an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Baffins and a mum of four. I have over 20 years of experience working with children, and I’ve built my setting around something I believe really matters, children feeling safe, settled and truly understood.
I know how big it is leaving your child in someone else’s care. It’s not just about finding someone to “watch” them, it’s about finding someone who will take the time to really know them, support them emotionally and help them grow in confidence. That’s exactly what I aim to offer every single family who comes through my door.
Alongside my childminding, I’m also a qualified infant sleep consultant. This allows me to bring a deeper understanding of sleep, routines and emotional regulation into my setting. I don’t just look at how children sleep, I look at the whole picture, their development, their emotions and what they need to feel secure.
This means I’m able to support children who may struggle with settling, transitions or sleep, in a gentle and responsive way that never ignores their needs. It also means I can support parents with consistency between home and childcare, helping everything feel calmer and more manageable for everyone.
My setting is very much a home-from-home. Our days are filled with real experiences, outdoor adventures, play, learning and connection. I follow the EYFS framework, but in a way that feels natural and meaningful rather than structured and overwhelming.
More than anything, I want the children in my care to feel happy, secure and excited to be here, and for parents to feel completely confident that their child is in safe, capable and caring hands.
My Experience
I’ve been working with children since I was 18 years old, gaining hands-on experience across a range of early years settings. This has given me a deep understanding of how children grow, learn and develop at every stage.
My journey began working within early years environments before moving into a role as a Reception class assistant within a school. This gave me valuable insight into school readiness, supporting children as they transition into more structured learning while still nurturing their emotional needs.
Following this, I moved into childminding, where I found my passion for providing more personal, home-based care. Being able to truly get to know each child, support them as individuals and build strong relationships with families is something I value hugely.
Alongside my childminding, I trained as an infant sleep consultant. This has added another layer to my experience, allowing me to support children not just during the day, but with their overall wellbeing, including sleep, routines and emotional regulation.
Over the years, I’ve supported children of all ages, personalities and needs. This combination of experience means I’m confident in adapting my approach to each child, helping them feel secure, settled and able to thrive in a way that works for them.

With over two decades of experience, I bring a deep understanding of child development, behaviour, routines and emotional wellbeing, allowing me to support each child in a way that feels calm, consistent and tailored to them.
My Availability
Currently have availability on a Thursday and Friday, from September 2026 will also have a Tuesday available
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
£6.50 per hour, All funding accepted plus tax free childcare
