Hi I’m Keira, a Level 3 qualified childcare professional with a real passion for caring for babies and young children. I currently work as a key carer, so I’m very used to building close, trusting bonds and being someone little ones feel safe and settled with every day.
I’d describe myself as very gentle, calm, and naturally nurturing. I love creating a peaceful, happy environment where children feel secure, and I take a lot of pride in tuning into their individual needs and personalities. Whether it’s supporting feeding and nap routines, or just spending time talking, playing, and helping them explore the world, I genuinely enjoy being a positive, comforting presence in their early years.
Parents often describe me as kind, reliable, and gentle, which is something I value so much. I understand how important it is to feel completely confident in the person caring for your child, and I always give the same level of care and attention I would expect for my own family.
I’m now looking to support a kind family on a more personal, one-to-one basis.
My Experience
I’m a Level 3 qualified childcare provider with experience working across all age groups in a nursery, although I’m mainly based in the baby room, which is where I feel my strengths really are.
As a key carer, I look after a small group of children and support them through their daily routines like feeding, bottle prep, nappy changes, and settling for naps. I pride myself on creating a calm, safe environment where babies feel secure and happy, I really love planning simple, age-appropriate activities like sensory play and lots of outdoor experiences.
Before working in a nursery, I was a sports coach for children aged 2–7, which helped me build a fun, energetic side when working with slightly older children. I think it’s given me a nice balance between being gentle and nurturing, but also engaging and playful.
I’m first aid trained and have an enhanced DBS on the update system.
