About Me
Hi all, I am a mum to an incredible little girl who will be turning four soon. She is a wonderful little person - empathetic, curious, articulate, creative, witty.
She has a slow-to-warm temperament and prefers to observe and understand what (and why) is happening before joining in. Once she feels comfortable, she is happy to engage and enjoys the experience. She thrives in calm, one-to-one settings.
My Requirements
Initially, I'd love to find someone who can be more of a 'playmate' (crossed out: a wizard) for her, who can gently help boost her confidence and English skills (she is very confident speaker in our home languages but doesn't speak English yet) through play and natural interaction, someone who can spend at least 2–3 hours twice a week with her, engaging in activities such as imaginative play, singing, drawing, building with Duplo, chatting, and simply having fun together.
I believe she will connect best with someone who:
* is emotionally intelligent, warm, and patient with a slow-to-warm child;
* will not push interaction and allow connection to develop naturally;
* will acknowledge her feelings, presence, and will not use a simplified language ('baby/kids talk') when chatting with her.
* genuinely enjoys imaginative and child-led play.
