Vasudha
Nanny in London (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I'm a warm, dependable, and energetic person who genuinely loves spending time with children. Originally from India, I'm now based in London where I'm completing a Master's degree at the London School of Economics, so my days are flexible and I bring a lot of enthusiasm and creativity to everything I do outside of my studies. I'm a national-level squash athlete, which means I naturally bring structure, patience, and a positive attitude into everything I take on. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and encouraged, and that's exactly the kind of environment I aim to create. Whether we're doing homework, playing in the park, cooking something together, or just having a chat, I put the child first and show up with consistency and care every single time.
My Experience
My experience working with people, particularly in support and community roles, has shaped me into a calm, attentive, and genuinely caring presence. As a Residential Ambassador at the University of Nottingham, I was the go-to person for a large and diverse community of young people, supporting them through personal difficulties, organising wellbeing events, and always making sure people felt looked after. That role taught me how to read a room, respond with empathy, and handle sensitive situations with discretion. Alongside this, I've spent time coordinating public events at LSE, working front-of-house at the Aldwych Theatre, and volunteering in a busy customer-facing environment at Oxfam, all roles where reliability, warmth, and professionalism weren't optional. I may not have worked as a nanny formally before, but the skills I bring , patience, emotional attunement, strong communication, and a genuine enjoyment of being around people are ones I've built and demonstrated consistently across everything I've done.
My Qualifications
I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Nottingham, where my dissertation explored intersectionality, access, and inclusion in university athletics , a project that involved in-depth interviews and qualitative research, and which reflects my ability to think carefully about people's experiences and needs. I am currently completing an MSc in International Social and Public Policy at the London School of Economics. Academically, I'm well-placed to support children with homework and learning across a range of subjects, and I particularly enjoy making ideas accessible and interesting. Beyond formal qualifications, I'm a nationally ranked squash player who has represented India internationally which has given me a strong foundation in discipline, goal-setting, and resilience that I'm keen to pass on to the children I work with.
