Registered Childminder Job In Sheerness
About Me
Our son is a gentle and curious four-year-old who tends to be quite shy when meeting new people or entering unfamiliar environments. However, once he feels secure and settles into a routine, he really opens up and becomes very engaged. We are looking for a carer who understands this initial hesitation and has the patience to help him build his confidence during those first few holiday sessions.
In our home, we speak a second language, reflecting the fact that my husband and I moved to the UK nearly a decade ago. While our son is bilingual and hears both languages daily, English remains his primary and strongest language. It is important to us that a carer is supportive of his dual-language background, even though he will have no trouble communicating his needs in English.
He is happiest when he is playing with anything that has wheels, especially cars, and he has a massive interest in anything dinosaur-related. A setting that offers plenty of opportunities for imaginative play with these interests would be a perfect match for him. We value a carer who prioritises a warm, nurturing atmosphere where he can feel at home while staying active and social.
My Requirements
Looking for care during school holidays, 3 days per week (Tuesday and Friday are fixed, flexible on the 3rd day). Hours: ideally 9am to 5pm, but 9am to 3pm also works. My son is 4 years old and currently attends playgroup during term-time. He starts Year R in September 2026. I'm looking for a safe, engaging environment with structured play and activities to keep him occupied while I'm working. Experience with this age group is important.
