About Me
Hi, I’m a parent of two young children (aged 4 and 1 (2 in July), and I’m currently looking for a reliable, caring babysitter/ mothers helper for occasional ad-hoc support.
We’re a friendly, down-to-earth household and value someone who is calm, kind, and confident with young children. Our 4-year-old is easygoing and enjoys typical play, and our toddler is active, curious, and keeps us on our toes!
My 4 year old is immunocompromised, so it’s really important to us to find someone who is sensible around illness (e.g. not attending if unwell, good hygiene awareness). Aside from that, we’re a relaxed and welcoming family.
We’re mainly looking for flexible, occasional help — this might include daytime support when we need to shield from nursery bugs or the odd evening, depending on availability.
If you’re experienced with young children, dependable, and happy to work in a respectful family environment, we’d love to hear from you <3
My Requirements
Flexible babysitter / mother’s help – ad hoc childcare support (home-based)
We are looking for occasional support, for example:
- Nursery closures or disruption
- Periods where we need to reduce nursery attendance due to medical vulnerability in the household
- Times when the main caregiver is experiencing significant fatigue and needs additional help at home
- General ad-hoc childcare support when needed.
I work from home and will usually be in the house during your hours, but not directly present.
Duties include:
- Supervised play and engaging activities
- Basic childcare needs (snacks, routines, supervision)
- Following clear guidance around any medical considerations when relevant
Requirements:
-Experience with young children
-Comfortable supervising two children at once
-Comfortable working in a home where parent(s) are working from home
-Enhanced DBS check
-References
-Ideally paediatric first aid
(-Comfortable with cats)
We are looking to build a trusting relationship with someone who could become part of our wider support network for occasional but important childcare needs.
We would begin with a few settling-in sessions while I am at home so everyone can get comfortable.
Please get in touch if this sounds like a good fit.
