About Me
I am looking for a caring, experienced, and emotionally intelligent childcare professional to support me and my child during an important period of transition.
This role is slightly different from a standard nanny position, as it involves both childcare and supportive presence alongside me, helping to maintain a calm, consistent, and nurturing environment.
Oscar, who is 7, lives with his dad and goes to school in Batheaston. Oscar is an articulate, bright, funny boy who loves music, acrobatics, writing and computer games. Oscar loves high energy activities, backing, and stories at bedtime.
I am open to meeting after school for some activities on one day a week initially.
My Requirements
I would really value someone who:
Has strong experience with children and behaviour management
Can model calm, consistent discipline techniques
Is patient, grounded, and supportive without being judgmental
Is comfortable working alongside a parent (not independently leading all care)
Understands the importance of emotional regulation in children and adults
Requirements
Previous childcare or nannying experience (essential)
Confident supporting behavioural boundaries in a gentle, structured way
Driving licence preferred (or comfortable travelling by car)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
References required
I would love support to encourage Oscar with his art, maths and social emotional learning. I am active and engaging. We are very attuned and loving. I would appreciate help to stick to similar routines in both houses and to get Oscar well rested and to school on time.
I require 2 hours after school once a week, increasing to up to half the time around school.
Some weekends I would like support in the car over to Harrow, London and then on outings, staying with my parents.
Other weekends on outings locally in Bath, Batheaston or Bradford-on-Avon for a few hours during the day.
Hopefully I will move back to overnights during the week with the right support, then appreciating help getting to school.
