We are a busy household of working professionals looking for a proactive and organized partner to join our family ecosystem. We have three wonderful children: a self-starting 11-year-old girl who is flourishing in secondary school; a high-energy, positive 9-year-old boy who loves sports and music; and a helpful, loving 7-year-old girl at our local state primary.
?Our home is full of music and ambition, but as busy professionals, we need a "household hero" to manage the afternoon logistics, keep our home environment calm, and provide that extra bit of encouragement to help our children reach their potential in their studies and musical practices.
My Requirements
The Role Balance
?This is a Term-Time role, ideally 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
?30% Home Organisation: Straightening up, managing laundry, and prepping the "engine room" before the school run.
?70% Childcare & Mentorship: School pickups, homework support, and musical practice supervision.
?Key Responsibilities
?The School Run & Logistics: Picking up G7 (approx. 1.5 miles away) and B9 (local private school) via car. Ensuring they get to any after-school clubs on time and prepared.
?Academic & Musical Mentorship: * Providing gentle but firm encouragement for G11 with her piano and cello practice.
?Helping B9 find his "focus zone" for school work and music, ensuring he stays on track.
?Supporting G7 with her reading and foundational school work in a fun, patient way.
?Home Flow: Keeping the house tidy and organised throughout the afternoon. This includes clearing away after-school snacks, managing the children's laundry, and ensuring the kitchen is straightened up after dinner prep.
?Nutritious Prep: Preparing a healthy evening meal for the children (and occasionally some light prep for the parents).
?The Ideal Candidate
?We are looking for someone who feels like a mix between a big sibling, a tutor, and a personal assistant.
?Personality: You are calm under pressure, naturally organised, and have a "can-do" attitude. You understand when to be fun and playful, and when to be firm about homework and practice time.
?Hard Requirements: * A confident driver with a clean license (essential for the school run).
?Strong communication skills to keep us updated on the children's progress.
?A genuine interest in child development and a love for a musical/active environment.
?Experience: Previous experience in a private household or an educational setting is highly preferred.
