About Me

I am a qualified primary school teacher and SENCo with a strong passion for supporting every child to reach their full potential. I have been teaching since 2015 and have served as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) since 2019, giving me extensive experience in adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs. As a phonics specialist, I have a deep understanding of early reading development and use proven strategies to build confidence, fluency, and a love of reading. I pride myself on creating engaging, supportive, and tailored learning experiences that help children thrive both academically and personally.

My Experience

I have taught Reception, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two over the last 11 years. I am a phonics specialist, however I love teaching all subjects. I have taught a range of phonics schemes and can tailor sessions to compliment the scheme used by your child's school.
As a SENCo, I have a lot of SEND teaching experience, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language needs. I’m experienced in adapting lessons, breaking learning down into manageable steps, and using different strategies to help each child succeed. I also understand how important it is to build confidence and make children feel safe and supported, so they can enjoy learning and believe in themselves.
