My Summary
About Me
Hi my name is Amy and I’m a friendly and reliable childcare provider with a genuine love for working with children. While I’m at the beginning of my professional childcare journey I’m an enthusiastic, patient and hardworking individual who is committed to creating a safe, fun and supportive environment for every child I care for.
I currently hold a valid DBS check and I’m working towards my level three teaching assistant qualification, which is helping me build strong skills in supporting children’s learning and development. I enjoy engaging kids in creative activities, helping with homework and encouraging positive routines.
I’m looking for part-time opportunities as a nanny or babysitter, where I can gain hands-on experience while providing dependable and caring support to families. I’m eager to learn, adaptable and always ready to lend a helping hand.
My Experience
I’ve been lucky to spend time working with children in few different settings, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. For several years I ran after School arts and craft sessions for children aged 4 to 8, where I loved coming up with fun creative activities and seeing how proud the children were of what they made. It was also a great way to help them build confidence and make friends.
I’ve also done babysitting, supporting families with their day-to-day routines and making sure children feels happy, safe, and comfortable in their own home.
One of my most rewarding experiences has been working with children with disabilities, helping them learn basic swimming skills. It taught me a lot about patience, encouragement, and adapting activities to sue every child so they feel confident and included.
Overall, I’m a caring and creative person, who is always aiming to bring a calm, positive energy when working with children.
My Qualifications
I hold a first class on his degree in geography which has helped me develop strong organisational skills, clear communication skills, and a thoughtful supportive approach, all of which I bring into my work with children.
I also have a valid DBS check in place for peace of mind. Alongside this I’m currently working towards my level three teaching assistant qualification, where I’m building my knowledge of child development, learning support and how to create a positive, engaging environment tailor to each child’s needs.
My Availability
I can offer a high degree of flexibility and I’m able to adapt my availability to see each individual families needs. I’m available Monday to Friday between 7 am and 7 pm and within these hours I’m happy to accommodate bearing schedules where possible, as I do not have fixed working hours.
