Registered Childminder Job in Bristol
My Requirements
We are a warm, thoughtful, and engaged family seeking a part-time childminder to care for our son, Sebastian (“Bash”), 2–3 days per week while we are at work, as well as a babysitter for occasional evenings or weekends.
We place a strong emphasis on gentle, responsive parenting and are looking for someone who shares these values. We would love to find a childminder or nanny who is caring, reliable, and creative, and who can provide a nurturing, calm, and engaging environment for Bash.
We are open to care either in our home or in a home-from-home setting, where Bash can build strong relationships with his carer and a small group of other children. It’s important to us that he receives positive, attentive engagement, with opportunities for creative play, learning through exploration, and regular time outdoors and out and about, which he really enjoys. We are looking for someone who can support and continue to build his confidence and happiness.
Bash is a content and curious little boy who loves being out and about and thrives with positive attention. He is observant and alert, and enjoys practising and developing his skills. He has a gentle and sensitive temperament and can be a little shy at first, but he warms up with time and trust. He is generally very easygoing, and has a slightly discerning sense of humour—though he absolutely loves to smile and laugh once he feels comfortable.
We would like to take a gentle, gradual approach to settling him into care, ideally starting with shorter or half days and building up over time. Building a strong, trusting relationship between Bash and his carer (and with us as parents) is very important to us.
As Bash has been exclusively breastfed and is used to contact naps, we are looking for someone patient and understanding who can support him through this transition in a way that feels secure and respectful of his needs.
We are based in BS3, and are ideally looking for care from Tuesday - Thursday, starting from August, though we can be flexible for the right person.
We would require Ofsted registration (where applicable), DBS check, paediatric first aid training, and a non-smoking environment.
