About Me

Hi! I’m Seoyoon, a 21-year-old Korean nanny currently based in West Hampstead, London. I have a genuine passion for working with children and creating a warm, structured, and fun environment for them to thrive in. I’m caring, attentive, and reliable and I truly enjoy every moment spent with the children in my care. I’m looking for a full-time live-in junior nanny position in London for approximately one year from mid-August 2026.

My Experience

• Current Au Pair – West Hampstead, London (February 2026 – Present):
I am currently working as a live-in au pair caring for two girls aged 8 and 11. My responsibilities include school pick-ups, homework support, accompanying children to after-school activities, preparing meals and snacks (I’m confident cooking simple dishes such as pasta, fried rice, and more), occasional evening babysitting, and assisting with light household duties. I have been in this role for five months and have built a strong, trusting relationship with the family.
• Maths Teaching Assistant – Private Academy, South Korea (1 year):
I worked as a maths teaching assistant at a private academy in South Korea, supporting primary and secondary school students. My main role was providing focused 1:1 support in small groups of 5–6 students per hour, helping those who struggled to keep up with the curriculum to build genuine understanding, while also challenging advanced students with additional questions. This role required great patience, adaptability, and the ability to connect with children of different learning styles and abilities.
• Service Industry Experience – South Korea:
Prior to moving to the UK, I also gained several years of experience in customer-facing roles, including working as a restaurant server and in convenience retail for a combined total of around four years. These roles strengthened my ability to work efficiently under pressure, communicate clearly, and maintain a consistently positive and professional attitude

My Qualifications

• Current Live-in Experience: Over 5 months of hands-on live-in childcare experience in London, with a host family reference available upon request.
• Academic Background: I am currently taking a leave of absence from my Chemistry degree in South Korea to gain international experience, improve my English, and develop new skills in the UK on a Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) visa, valid until February 2028.
• Language & Communication: Native Korean speaker with strong English communication skills, developed through daily life and work in London.
• Personality: I am a naturally warm, cheerful, and positive person with a big smile that I bring to everything I do. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and have a lot of energy and enthusiasm to match theirs. I am a good listener, attentive to each child’s needs, and firm but kind when it comes to manners and boundaries. Children tend to feel comfortable around me quickly, and I find joy in making their day a little brighter.
• Additional Skills: I have played the violin since childhood and have a love for classical music, musicals, and the arts — making me well-placed to support children with musical interests or cultural activities. I am an active and adventurous person who enjoys travel, skiing, surfing, and freediving, and I connect naturally with children who enjoy outdoor and physical activities. I also enjoy quieter time — watching films or relaxing at home — so I adapt easily to different family lifestyles.
• Pet-Friendly: I own a dog in Korea and am very comfortable around animals of all kinds, including pets in the family home.
• Commitment to Safety: I do not currently hold a DBS check or First Aid certificate, but I am fully prepared to obtain both promptly to ensure the highest level of safety and peace of mind for your family.
• Visa & Reliability: I hold a valid YMS visa until February 2028, ensuring legal and stable employment. I plan to work as a nanny from mid-August 2026 for approximately one year, after which I will return to Korea to resume my university studies.

My Availability

I am flexible and happy to adapt to the needs of your family. I am looking for a full-time live-in junior nanny (or nanny-housekeeper) position in London, ideally on a contract of approximately one year starting from mid-to-late August 2026. I am open to any area of London.
I am most comfortable working Monday to Friday, and I would appreciate having a clear understanding of working hours, duties, and expectations from the start so we can build a smooth and transparent working relationship. I do not drive and I am a non-smoker and non-drinker. Families with pets are very welcome. I hold a Korean passport and am happy to travel internationally if required as part of the role.
