Hello,

I’m getting in touch to enquire about babysitting availability on Saturday 30th May in Bude.

My partner and I will be visiting the area for a few days and staying in an Airbnb (EX23) while attending a wedding nearby. We’re looking for an experienced babysitter to care for our one-year-old daughter, Remy, at the house during the day and evening.

We are both professionals (a lawyer and a doctor) and had originally arranged for grandparent care, which has unfortunately fallen through at short notice. We would be very grateful for any help or guidance you may be able to offer based on your availability.

Remy is an easygoing, sociable child who settles well with new people. She eats well, is fully weaned, and has a consistent routine—dinner followed by a bath and bedtime at around 7:00pm, after which she sleeps well.

We also have a very friendly and affectionate working cocker spaniel with us. He wouldn’t need much looking after—just being let out once or twice and given his dinner—and we will make sure he is fully exercised before we leave the house. It is important that anyone caring for Remy is comfortable having a dog in the house.

The wedding begins at 12:30 at Morwenna and St John the Baptist Church. We expect to leave the house around midday and would ideally return at around 11:00pm, with transport arranged in advance.
