Babysitter

We don't live near our families so would like someone we can hire occasionally to mind our daughter in the evenings/ night-time so we can have date nights. We would prefer for this to be in our home but our dog is quite shy/ nervous (barks when someone new comes to the house) so can go to someone else's house if it's close by.
We are getting married in July and would like to have a babysitter on the wedding night to stay with our daughter while we enjoy our party. We would like to know and trust this person so would hire as a babysitter for a few nights between now and July to build the relationship.
