About Me
Live-in Nanny & Home Education Mentor
Broadway, Cotswolds | Full-time | Separate One-Bedroom Cottage
We are looking for an exceptional nanny to become an important part of our family and a trusted, consistent presence in the life of our bright, funny and curious four-year-old daughter.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who genuinely loves spending time with children and is passionate about creating rich, engaging childhood experiences. We are looking for far more than childcare—we are looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of our daughter's day, supporting her emotional wellbeing, learning and development through meaningful experiences, creativity and play.
Our daughter is home educated using a child-led approach. We believe children learn best through curiosity, conversation, nature, books, real-life experiences and thoughtful guidance. We're looking for someone who shares this philosophy and enjoys creating opportunities for learning rather than simply supervising them.
The Role
You will have responsibility for planning and leading our daughter's weekdays, creating a calm, fun and enriching routine that reflects her interests whilst gently introducing new ideas and experiences.
This includes:
Planning engaging activities, outings and local adventures
Organising playgroups, clubs and social opportunities
Supporting early literacy, phonics and numeracy in a natural, enjoyable way
Encouraging independence, confidence and curiosity through everyday life
Preparing healthy meals and snacks for our daughter
Managing all child-related responsibilities, including organising day bags, resources and keeping play spaces tidy
Travelling with our family several times each year (including destinations such as St Tropez, Barbados and Mauritius), although not every trip will require you to accompany us.
Who We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who naturally takes initiative and enjoys creating wonderful days for children.
You will be:
Warm, kind and genuinely nurturing
Calm, emotionally intelligent and patient
Proactive and highly organised
Confident planning activities without needing direction
Happy sourcing local classes, groups and opportunities
Equally comfortable reading stories on the sofa as exploring woods, baking together or creating imaginative projects at home
Someone who enjoys becoming part of family life and isn't afraid to muck in where needed
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who brings a sense of calm, stability and joy into our home. Someone who notices what needs doing, thinks ahead, and takes pride in creating a happy, stimulating environment where our daughter can flourish.
The Position
Live-in preferred (although exceptional live-out candidates will also be considered)
Separate one-bedroom cottage provided
Approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional nights and weekends. flexibility by mutual agreement
Competitive salary, dependent on experience
Long-term position with a family looking to build a lasting relationship with the right person
If you're looking for a role where you can truly make a difference, become part of a family and have the freedom to create meaningful childhood experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
